Many Futures partners with organizations that prepare today’s young people to build a better world.

Community & Connection

Mycelium Youth Network

Mycelium Youth Network (MYN) prepares frontline youth in the San Francisco Bay Area—who are most vulnerable to and already feeling the effects of environmental racism— for climate change. Our hands-on training blends the traditions of local indigenous people and NGSS-aligned Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) to empower young people with the skills, resilience, and hope needed to survive and thrive in a climate-challenged world.
Adventure & Outdoor Learning

Experience Learning

Experience Learning’s mission is to deliver high quality outdoor programming as a tool to develop competence, confidence and community for all ages. In a land of passive consumers of content and services, we do this work because we see our communities – at home, at work, local and global – as increasingly in need of engaged, knowledgeable participants in all walks of life. Children who have the opportunity to effectively influence the direction and outcomes of their own small groups during outdoor adventures develop grit, determination and compassion and learn that working hard to accomplish a common goal can also be fun and help give meaning to a person’s life.
