OUR VISION:

Education Everywhere

At Many Futures, we believe education happens everywhere. Since our founding in 2022, we’ve searched for people doing radical educational work in a way that resonates with kids. We have met master gardeners who teach young people how to feed their neighborhoods, and we have joined outdoor educators as second graders lead them to the tops of mountains with a compass and map. In high school classrooms, we’ve listened to teachers empower students to speak up in response to the challenges of climate change. And in a circle of kindergarteners sitting on a rainbow-colored carpet, we’ve watched educators help those kids learn how to describe their aspirations and their fears.

As Many Futures has come to life, we’ve also met with young people and asked them what they want from their education. They’ve told us that they want to make the world better. They want to collaborate with their peers. They want to get their hands dirty. And most importantly, they want to be seen and heard by their educators. They want a say in their own learning experience.

That inclusivity is at the core of Many Futures. Not guesswork or top-down design, but something more holistic. We’re invested in amplifying the voices of the leaders and learners who shape the educational landscape. Changing education in America has to happen with students, not just for them.

We’ve felt overwhelmed at times by the challenges and inequalities that surround us. But more often, we’ve felt hope. All around our country, intentional, disruptive and passionate people are working obsessively to even the playing field and teach our kids about things that matter. And those young people are raising their voices, working together, and sharing their own passions and ideas.

At Many Futures, we empower leaders and learners to thrive in this world and build a better one tomorrow. We’re excited for what’s ahead – and we’re honored to be supporting the people building a more equitable and hopeful future for all of us.

Sincerely,

Meet our Founder

Meagan

Meagan has been interested in teaching since she was a young kid playing “school” in her room with her stuffed animals. She credits her fifth grade teacher for her love of reading and writing, which led her to study journalism and communications at the University of Florida. She is currently a candidate in the Master’s of Teaching program at Pepperdine University, where she hopes to gain even better understanding of the issues impacting education and the champions changing the field.
